Yeah, de-radicalization will not happen so easily.
Winning Kashmiri hearts and minds is a long battle; short-sighted and illiberal measures from an authoritarian playbook could prove counter-productive.

So, I suppose it is really easy according to this ridiculous article from The Hindu in its editorial section. This editorial has been quickly made by the folks at The Hindu ostensibly to give its prescriptions to de-radicalize the youths in Kashmir Valley but in reality, it seems that it is to counter the views put forth by the CDS Bipin Rawat.

The left it would seem also has disdain for facts that counter its certitudes. This is why perhaps the editorial prescribes effective teaching and incorporation of civil studies in School Curriculum as solutions to counter Islamist radicalization. Let’s face it once a mind has been poisoned by radical religious ideas the civil studies and providing internet would not help.
However, one can only admire the honesty displayed by the CDS here. He has been at the receiving end of Left’s criticism but has continued to set forth his ideas and views with honesty and great dignity. It may not seem so lucid always, but the only way to counter propaganda is through facts put forth in earnestly.
